Details
On October 3, 2025 our third annual Costumers of Color 501(c)(3) historical costuming event happens in Seattle, WA! To celebrate a third year of unwavering commitment to multicultural costuming excellence we are hosting an 18th-century Rococo /Georgian Symposium & Salon as it should have been: open to the global community of POC (People of Color). If you are POC and would like to wear the clothing your ancestors might have worn during the 18th-century you are most welcome to. **If you are not POC please stick to European/ American 18th-century fashions.
There will be an optional Friday dinner and Sunday brunch for those interested. Details TBD.
The Saturday event will be comprised of two sessions; the Symposium and the Salon.
The 18th-Century Symposium (period clothing optional) will begin at 10am with a morning of classes and lectures on 18th-century games, sword fighting, dancing, daily life, and fashion. A lunch will be available from 12pm to 1pm. The 18th-Century Symposium will end at 2pm.
The 18th-Century Salon (period clothing required) will open at 6pm for a cocktail hour, followed by historical dancing, historical games, and socializing in the Drawing Room and Ballroom. Doors close at 11pm and our group nightcap at the 515 Lounge runs from 11pm to 12:30am. #costumersofcolor #rococosalon
