A picture of Hannah Rokni, a smiling human wearing a sheer white headlinen and yellow headband, keeping it in place. They are smiling at the camera and wearing a yellow undergarment with a dark reddish brown overgarment with a beautiful intricately woven fabric or shawl over their shoulders in shades of brown and blue.

I’m Hannah! I am an Iranian-American historical costumer. I also do mounted archery, limited distance endurance riding, and dabble in historybounding and the Society for Creative Anachronism. I started sewing historical Persian clothing last year and I love adding a Persian twist to my non Persian costumes. My goal in life is to have a fully historically inspired Safavid era set up for both my horse and I, from the tack to my bow.

Where to find me:

Hannah’s talk is titled “Hamadan, Iran: A journey about and through the city where my family is from”
