Teach a Class

Silk Routes Symposium will be held virtually on YouTube on February 5, 2023. Classes on fashion, beauty, or culture that pertain to any of the cultures the “Silk Road” routes passed through are welcome. Silk Routes refers to the web of land and sea routes connecting East and Southeast Asia, the Indian subcontinent, Central Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Europe that operated for more than 1,500 years moving goods, ideas, and services across the globe.

Instructors will submit their class information and be featured on this website. Instructor bios along with their wish lists and donation information will also be posted. Any funds donated directly to the event will be split evenly and dispersed to the instructors.

This event is on Sunday, February 5, 2023 and runs from 6am to 7pm in Seattle, WA, USA, (GMT -8) which is:

• 9am to 10pm in New York, New York, USA on Sunday, February 5, 2023
• 3pm Sunday, February 5, 2023 to 4am on Monday, February 6, 2022 in Florence, Italy
• 11pm Sunday, February 5, 2023 to 12-noon on Monday, February 6, 2022 in Sydney, Australia

Sign-up to teach classes is open until Jan 25, 2023.

Silk Routes Symposium will consist of 30-50 minute video classes uploaded to YouTube the day of the event. The event will also host several live panels.

Classes and panels can be pre-recorded or held live. Existing videos can also be submitted as classes.  Potential speakers who do not have a YouTube channel may be hosted as guests by another instructor. Please subtitle your videos for accessibility.
