On Tuesday, November 28, 2023 we celebrate the annual day of giving. The whole world can come together to give back in many different ways: through acts of kindness, gifts of time, talent, or treasure.

Mark your calendars, and on Tuesday, be kind to YOURSELF first because you cannot pour from an empty cup. Then, show kindness and gratitude to others via a smile, loving words, a donation, or your time.

I challenge the costuming community to follow these three steps during the week of November 28, 2023:

1) Self-care

2) Follow three costumers of color (be sure to like, share, and comment on their accounts)

3) Donate to your nonprofit of choice

I like the idea of watering people/organizations as a metaphor for helping them grow. Be kind. Do good. Be kind. Water others.
