We are going to have SO much #vintage fun in Florence in the fall of 2024. I’ve made plans to take a group of those who love #vintagestyle to a quintessential stop of the grand tour of old – Florence, Italy. Remember when reading that this schedule may change if these venues change the nights they host bands and dances.

There we will eat, drink, and dance our way around beautiful #Firenze all while wearing snazzy vintage threads from our favorite eras.

Day 1, we will arrive in Florence and settle in to our accommodations. Depending on the size of the group we will get a palazzo with multiple bedrooms or several hotel rooms (double occupancy) in a room block. Your lodging is covered by the trip price.

Day 2 is our day to begin exploring the Renaissance art in Florence. Known as the home of Michelangelo, we can’t visit this city and miss one of the greatest sculptures ever made: David.  Today we will visit the Accademia Galleria and see why this statue is considered a masterpiece. Tonight is the social swing dance at our sponsor venue, so pack your dancing shoes!

On day 3 we will take a private half-day tour with my friend and professional tour guide, Serena, to learn about the life of the first Duke of Florence, Alessandro de’ Medici. Alessandro happens to have African heritage and the sites related to his life are not marked and noted in most historical sites. Serena will give us a behind the scenes explanation of the places Alessandro lived and ruled from before his early death. After our tour we will go to dinner and dancing at a jazz bistro.

On day 4 you’ll have a couple options. You could take an optional 2 and a half hour tour of the Uffizi gallery to see pieces like Botticelli’s Primavera, or you could hit a couple vintage clothings stores that I’ll share the details on in your trip dossier. We will have lunch at a place that makes tasty panini’s to leave e room for our dinner tonight at famous Tuscan steakhouse

Day 5 is your movie star day! We will have a professional photographer come to an optional group photoshoot a the Duomo Cathedral & Ponte Vecchio (Bridge). During the evening we will attend an open dance night at the venue run by @Tuballoswing. 

By day 6 we will need a: spa day to recover from 2 nights of dancing. Florence is home of several first class day-spas and as part of your trip fee you’ll have entry to one of them today. Depending on the size of our group it could be the spa at the Four Seasons of Florence, Spa Number Nine, SoulSpace Florence, or Asmana Wellness World.

On day 7 we will take a: day-trip to the nearby Chianti region for wine tasting in the hilly (and picturesque) Tuscan countryside.

Day 8 is Departure Day, where you’d check out of the lodging and head to the airport to return to the US.
