Dearest Readers,

It seems one cannot take two steps on a promenade these days without stumbling across a society matron lamenting the difficulties of finding a truly soul-filling evening among friends. Indeed, This Author thought that Lady Bingley and Miss Windsor were going to come to blows at last week’s Wellington musicale. It seems that Lady Bingley stole Miss Windsor’s private tutor right out from under her nose one month ago, promising higher wages.

The plot thickened, however, when the professor in question fled back to Miss Windsor, begging to be rehired. It seemed that Lady Bingley’s idea of a education included skipping more accurately described lives of people of color and their accomplishments.

Someone ought to tell the woman that a reckoning is here and the ancestors won’t stand to be ignored anymore. The only way to right wrongs is to shine the light of truth on them.
